Office Pod Installation and Electrical Checklist for Overseas Buyers

For overseas buyers, an office pod order is not finished when the model and price are selected. Installation access, socket type, voltage, power load, packing size, unloading and local site requirements can all affect the final project result.
This checklist helps contractors, dealers, facility managers and project buyers prepare the details before requesting a MobileX POD quotation.
1. Confirm the Installation Site
Before confirming an office pod order, check whether the site can receive and place the pod safely.
Important site questions:
- Which floor will the pod be installed on?
- Is there elevator access or only stair access?
- What is the narrowest door, corridor or turning area?
- Is the floor level and suitable for the pod location?
- Where will the power connection be located?
MobileX office pods are designed for simple self-installation. MobileX provides installation videos and online support, and buyers normally complete installation by themselves.
2. Confirm Socket, Voltage and Plug Standard
Electrical configuration should match the destination market. A buyer in the United States, Middle East, Southeast Asia or Europe may need different plug standards and voltage requirements.
Before production, confirm:
- Destination country.
- Voltage requirement.
- Socket and plug type.
- Expected device load.
- USB / Type-C requirement.
- Network port requirement.
These details are especially important for offices using laptops, monitors, conferencing equipment and phone charging.
3. Compare Packing Volume and Delivery Access
Packing volume affects freight quotation and warehouse planning.
| Model | Packing Size | Packing Volume |
|---|---|---|
| MP1 Office Pod | 1150 x 760 x 2380mm | 2CBM |
| MP1+ Phone Booth | 1350 x 760 x 2380mm | 2.5CBM |
| MP2 Meeting Booth | 2150 x 760 x 2380mm | 4CBM |
| MP3 Meeting Booth | 2150 x 760 x 2380mm | 4CBM |
For a multi-unit project, the buyer should confirm unloading, temporary storage, final installation route and whether local movers or installers are needed.
4. Understand Trade Terms Before Budgeting
EXW price is only the factory reference price. For import projects, buyers may need FOB, CIF, DDU or DDP discussion depending on their purchasing ability and destination.
MobileX default quotation term is EXW. FOB Shenzhen / Guangzhou, CIF, DDP and DDU can be discussed after destination and project details are confirmed.
For more product data, buyers can review the office pod manufacturer data page and the acoustic meeting pod page.
5. Ask for Production Photo and Video Confirmation
For orders of 6 units or more, MobileX usually uses 50% deposit to start production and 50% balance before shipment. Before balance payment, MobileX can provide production photos and videos so the buyer can confirm product quality.
This is useful for overseas buyers because the buyer can check:
- Exterior color and finish.
- Interior layout.
- Socket and electrical configuration.
- Logo or branding.
- Packing status before shipment.
